Bipod mounting on a FX 500

Has anyone attached a picatinny rail on a FX 500 to support a bipod? I don't have the gun in my hands yet but from what I've seen that portion of the stock looks really thin (walnut stock). I'd hate to screw it up. The other option is a Dr Bobs Bottle Buddy I guess. Question two, how would you attach an Atlas to the Dr. Bobs eyelet? I think the picatinny on the stock would look better by the way.

Thanks 30cal, that looks like the best way to go. I see they come in smaller thread size also. I think most of the cleat could be ground off to minimize the chance of those causing a split in the wood.

Get back to work Jay that rig needs some PM'ing by the MI'er. Oh, I'm starting to have some sleep loss the last couple of nights, lol
