Bench Rest competition questions .25 cal?

I admit to not knowing any of the rules when it comes to airgun competition. I ordered a RAW HM-1000X in .25 cal to shoot at my house and for taking coyotes on my property. I thought I might try shooting in some BR matches but so far the rules I have read say no bigger than .22 cal or less than 30 FPE as pointed out by a friend of mine who shoots USARB matches. I remember looking over the extreme bench rest results from last year and seeing airguns listed with calibers of .25 & .30. I am guessing this is some other organizations competition or rules. Not being able to shoot my new gun in competition is not a deal breaker for me because I mainly plan to shoot it at home. Can anyone tell me about competitions that would allow my new gun?

Thanks Mike

Mike,
I only know of 2 events that allow you to compete in a Benchrest match with a caliber higher than a .22. The only 2 events that allow calibers larger than a .22 for benchrest are both in Arizona. The first is the Airguns of Arizona Extreme Benchrest Competition....http://www.extremebenchrest.com/ and the 2nd are the monthly matches they hold for the Phoenix Air gun club...http://www.phoenixairgun.net/Phoenix_Benchrest/Home.html. All the rest that I know of are USARB matches that only allow up to a .22 caliber rifle.
HTH
