Hi air gunners any thoughts about what may be happening with my AT44 . I’m trying to get barracuda extreme to get 820 fps adjusted with the regulator but instead turn the Allen bolt clockwise I heard a degassing sound.

Too much preload. Remove the air cylinder and back the scew out some. Also what caliber and what bar is the reg set at? And is it the long or short?

The port behind your pop valve is to small, you need to open it up. Your gun should have came with a extra pop valve seat take it and open it up to .180 and install it. next you have to hold the hammer with a small rod like a Allen from the under side of the gun to adjust the hammer or it will just turn, try and set the hammer at 5 turn out. I'd set the regular to 125-130 bar and open the the barrel transfer port up to 80% of .220 aka .176
That gun will be easily shooting in the 830's and getting 40 shoots per fill
