so I came across a few nice deals on the .25 cal Hatsan Vortex Edge. I've read a bunch of reviews and people writing the reviews claim there a decent gun other then the long trigger pull. anyone have an opinion as to this choice or experience with this .25? I'm mainly looking for a larger gun for bigger game. would I be just as happy or more with the same gun in a .22 caliber? it would be cheaper to shoot and easier to find ammo locally as to having to order .25 ammo.

I had TH gas piston in25 cal. It was very hold sensitive accuracy was fair to 25 yards or so and weighed a ton. I played with it for three weeks and sent it back for a 22!cal disco I love it. Anyways if I was to do it again it would be in 22 cal

I have a .22 Vortex 95 and find it to be a very nice air rifle. It did have a warranty issue in a defective seal but Hatsan fixed it, paid for shipping, etc. I think the Edge does not have the Quattro trigger that I have. I'm not the kind of person to mod my guns so I wanted a good trigger out of the box and the Quattro, to me, is a nice trigger.

I just that I planned on buying the .25 Vortex today, but your post raises an issue of whether I'd be as happy with the .22 vs. the .25. I don't see myself really hunting, but I see that you actually could with the .25. I'm not so sure about the .22. Any thoughts guys?

It's all in shot place ment.25 cal pellets get expensive when you need to order them on line.22 cal crossman premier 14 . 3 work fine and are a lot cheaper at Wally World.when you purchase your weapon it's not about F P S I have a older gamo whisper that will give me Quarter size groups out to 25 yards or so and in my book that's pretty good for a springer
