Air Force Condor SS problem unhooking charge line

Any one else have problems from time to time with trying to bleed charging line and my tank starts draining also, quickly close bleed valve so I don't lose my air in my 45Cuft SCBA tank Really annoying since it is so much trouble charging my air tank

you mean your scrader on gun is leaking ? I never had this on a condor , I have had it happen on a few other guns where the o ring just had a imperfection and did not seal and it leaks

Never had such a problem with my non-SS condor but it seems that I did read somewhere that opening the bleed valve as quickly as possible might help such an issue.

You should ALWAYS have the big tank (supply) valve closed BEFORE you try to bleed any lines.

Your statement in the first post leads me to believe that the tank valve is not closed since it CANNOT vent through the bleed valve if its valve is closed.

The gun tank does require a fairly fast bleeding of the line or the foster check valve can possibly stay open and vent the gun tank. The other possibility in the venting of the gun tank is a worn o-ring or trash in the gun tank foster valve.

I guess I should of clarified that I close my supply tank first obviously but my gun tank is draining and to refill it takes a lot out of my SCBA tank

Mybe and probably wrong but it sounds to me like your valve seal is sticking. Its that black valve that the top hat sits in.

Try opening the bleeder quickly and more fully to let the check valve in your fill port shut quick before too much air escapes. All bleeders are not created equal. Some let out a burst of air enough to shut check valve fast,,, some don't.

Once the fill hose is disconnected will the gun hold its pressure..?
