Added a second layer of CF onto leshiy 2

I've been using a 14x20mm cf tube over the 700mm barrel on the L2. But with so much exposed I thought it looked a bit goofy.

So I ordered a 21x25 (didn't want to bother opening up the ID if needed) Then ended up using a construction adhesive I've used in the past and glued the layers together. Adds basically no extra weight and looks great, I think so anyways.

Found a nice thick head bolt washer and painted it back to make sure I can snug up both layers with the thread protector.

The gun with the 700mm is 41.5" so not too bad at all and very light on the front end.

Can use the FX part too but the diameter is a bit bigger.

I like your idea about a second CF tube over the inner one. I might try that on a couple of other guns I am thinking about.

With the L2 I have gone through a number of iterations since I started using the 600mm FX barrel. I too found the look a bit strange with just the narrow CF tube over the FX barrel.

I started out here:

Then I added the REPR and a 480cc FX barrel (The REPR gave me some extra Length of Pull, making the 480cc bottle easier to add). I also changed the grip to accommodate the bottle and because I like a 0 degree grip. so now it looked like this...

Then I gave up and finally purchased a longer aluminum handguard, for a final look as below...

The gun is now a L2 with a .30 cal 600mm FX barrel, 480cc bottle, Anarchy Outdoors Emperor grip and Huma Mod40 with one baffle set removed. It delivers the 44.8gr FX pellets at 961 FPS for 91.9 FPE and the 50.15gr JSB pellets at 923 FPS or 94.9 FPE. With the FX barrels it is the most accurate it has ever been.

Looks great there, and nice looking Shepherd. We're limited in what we can deadening the sound here (Canada) i'm envious of your shroud that looks very effective.

I am very happy with the looks of my L2 now 😇

Este’s shroud looks great. I know that in Canada sound suppression is an absolute no-no, but my Leshiy 2 is so loud (unsuppressed) that i am not sure I would own it if I couldn’t quiet it down. I shoot mostly in my own property (~4 acres or 16,187 Sq Meters) and in my basement. Indoors the L2 sounds like I have fired a .22LR if I don’t have the suppressor on it. My neighbors may be far away, but I don’t really want to be banging away outside with a .22 either.

I must say that the Huma Mod40 does a really good job taming the bark.
