75 and 100 groups

First time out in a while with working around the house and work in general. Thought I would try dialing on my scope.

Shooting Impact 600mm 900fps 18.1gn JSB. 32 Degrees with a lite wind from behind ( that's my little bench between the pump house and shed )

Looks like the BC worked out to be .09 does that sound about right... My scope is set to 43yd for my 0.

Don't beat me up to much on the 100 grouping not counting the flyer it's just over 1.75" ...all in all real happy with it.

Waiting to try the FX-Slugs later

Do you mean .22 JSB's? The 18.1 gr. BC is more like .03. The 25.39 gr. monster is a better long range way to go if you can get enough air behind them with your Impact. They have a BC of .05 and were really accurate in my AEA Varmint at 850 fps. The FX hybrid will get you up to an even better BC of .07. I've been shooting a lot with NSA's which do well in most of my guns...but I recall reading they don't do as well in regular FX smooth twist barrels.

P.S. Those are some nice groups.

Daniel,

I am shooting 18s, that's what's weird. Using strelok for my 100yd setting of 40 clicks I had to use the BC of .09 for the 75 of 18. If it was using .038 it was like 51 or so and the 75 was something like 23..

Not sure if that makes any sense... I double checked my scope height and speed.

As far as scope it's an Arken 4x14.

If the weather holds off I'm going to give it another go tomorrow. My FX slugs came in today.

I was shooting my impact with 18gr at 900 and i was off about 10 clicks as well @100m. then i used the trajectory validation (speed) to true the algarithm and then it was spot on over the whole range 10-100 meter. My speed, according to the trajectory validation, was 960ft/s then everything worked fine....
