is there any reason I can't install a .22 barrel on my ruger 177 Blackhawk elite if I could find one? if so where would I look to find one other then ebay? I didn't see any there.
If it's from a similar gun it might work. You might try flying dragon air rifles as a source for a barrel as well as advice on whether it will fit. I'm not sure that series of rifles is made in .22 caliber. I'm not sure who imports the Ruger line, maybe Umarex? Another good place to ask this question would be the Chinese forum on Network54/Yellow forum. Good luck, John http://www.network54.com/Forum/113813
I'd try contacting the US office direct. Here's their website. Keep us posted on the barrel swap, the Ruger blackhawk series are clones of the RWS 34 and it would be cool if they were available in .22. They'd make a nice project gun, you can get refurbs from Airgun Depot at a great price! John https://www.umarexusa.com/Customer-Service.html#.VrYVjfkrLcs
I have a blackhawk elite as well, so if you find a new barrel let us know. What pellet works best for you? Right now the best pellet for me is the crosman 10.3 magnum
I'm just gonna buy another gun evergreenair. makes the most sense. either a .22 with a nitro piston or a .25 with a vortek piston. for $110 seems a better idea. I been thinking about trying the crosman premier 10.5 but right now I'm using the 7.9 premier hollow points. I've heard the 10.5 aren't very good for the mainspring tho. the premier hollow points shoot very well and can be found at the local Walmart.
