My holdover is extreme at 75 as well. I've used two different scope setups. One that was zeroed at 30 yards had mill dots. So, using trial and error, I dialed the magnification until the top mildot was zeroed.Yesterday's outing had a slight headwing of 5-10 MPH. I just got frustrated and gave up. Now I have more ideas to work on.
I think I need to get the velocity up a little after the rookie tune I recently did. The Bullseye mount will come off and I'll use the RWS droop mount I bought many years ago. The scope has a lifetime warranty.
The critical addition to the challenge is scope cant, and this shooting situation exhibits it, because you can see the pellet go way up and fall right or left if the cant isn't perfect. A half inch of cant is one inch of miss.
If yoo hang targets on strings you can line the cross hair on the string, and you'll see a lot more hits.
The string alignment trick has even helped in the wind on occasion. The wind blows the hanging target over, and the string alignment causes a cant to compensate. Lol
It's been both fun, and frustrating.
