I've been trapping hogs for years and always used a .22 long rifle. Recently started using Sumatra with Ldc because it's quieter. I have thought about shooting them with my Benjamin xl 1100 but never tried it. I have some pig skulls but it wouldn't be the same without the hair and all. 

 I wouldn't try it but watched a video where a guy on another forum killed a small hog with a trail np2. A full grown hog has a thick skull. I'd rather have too much power than not enough. 

I agree with blackdiesel. Has to be a perfect shot if you are taking headshots. Brain on a hog is about the size of an egg and it's always moving. I questioned if the Sumatra had enough power until I talked with a guy who had killed hogs with one. 

I got my silencer from wolf silencers and it works pretty good. I really like the size of the sumatra carbine. Where can I get some cast slugs that shoot well for the .25?
