    Ten Dimes Challenge

Hey Joe Wayne, someone needs to tell that rifle it can't shoot like that setting on a rest. It needs to be taught the military hold.

    Shimming a Scope

Love doing that. Just gotta make sure they're not flying in front of a window or something breakable in case I miss. 😎

    Air Arms TX200 HC

Yep. I bought the Pro Sport for exactly that reason.

    AA Pro Sport

I've got an RWS 45 in 177 and the 340 N- TEC that seems to have pretty good pop. Neither one is even close to broken in but both shoot well. Should only get better. Have all the air guns I need now. Not interested in PCPs. Like the convenience of the sprinters. Learning to shoot them is...

    Cleaning Rods?

Thanks to both of you. I ordered the pull through.

    Cleaning Rods?

I understand that air gun barrels are softer than powder burners but how delicate are they? Is a high quality carbon fiber cleaning rod acceptable for pushing or pulling patches through?

    New 340 N-Tec

I have a set of Burris rings that I've used on a Weatherby XXII. I wouldn't want to put them on a springer.

    New 340 N-Tec

I know they have them. I want to know if they offer greater compensation than the RWS droop mount.

    New 340 N-Tec

Finally shot the rifle from the bench @ 40 yards sorting pellets. The best performer is still the 14 gr, 5.5 head FTT. There is a problem though and I need some advice. The barrel droop on this thing is terrible. I am almost maxed out on adjustment using the 14 grain stuff. (Nikon 3-9 EFR)...

    AA Pro Sport

Well there it is. The gun is very nice, quality and fit is outstanding and it's a decent piece of walnut. Not fabulous by any means but still nice. But like the N-Tec the wood was raw and unprotected. I'm not used to that. Had to spend time applying some protection (several coats of orange oil /...

    AA Pro Sport

You boys are trouble. After reading some of the comments on the TX200 I did some reading and now, before the 340 N-Tec is even sighted in I called Pyramyd and ordered an AA Pro Sport. This is not a good place for those of us with no resistance. Should be here early next week. I have an Athlon...

    New 340 N-Tec

Put another 50 or 60 through it this eve. JSB 15gr was all over the map. Then went to H&N FTT. Shot the 14.66gr in 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5 head sizes. Amazing how different they shot. 5.3 shot high and to the right. 5.4 shot closer to the point of aim horizontally though higher still. The 5.5 was...

    New 340 N-Tec

Jonnes thanks for the info. I do have a tin each of the 15 and 18 grain JSB to try. I'll drop some blue Loctite on the screws. I saw a picture of the rifle disassembled at the Dianawerk blog and it appears to be relatively simple. I don't have a compressor yet but plan on remedying that pretty...

    New 340 N-Tec

Arrived home after a five hour drive back from the lake to find it on the porch. Took it out and shot it in less than great conditions. Wind was a steady 14mph with gusts to 28 coming from around 4 o'clock. I was tired so I filled a milk bottle half full so it wouldn't tip over, drew a...

    New 340 N-Tec

Well it finally made it here. Nice rifle and while the walnut stock is a pretty nice piece of wood it is absolutely raw. Dry as a bone. I rubbed in 3 coats of orange oil/carnuba wax and it soaked it up like a sponge. It brought out the grain and its starting to take on a bit of a sheen but it...
