The tick are bad this year in Tennessee too! The vinegar and also works well to get the tick off of the dogs (even with the high dollar flee and tick collars).

Don't get an Objective Len greater than 50 mm. The 50 mm captures more light than your can use. They are a bugger to fit on the gun too. 40 mm usually is about the best all around objective size. And yes I do like flip up lens covers...


I good friend had a 300 Weatherby Mag, we called it his high dollar cartridge carrier. He would only fire that thing 1 or 2 times and give up.

I think the price point is what a lot of manufactures go for. In the area I live in now. If there is a lesser quality item a Walmart for $1.00 less than a quality then a quality item next door for $1.00 more, they will go to Walmart. A lot of people here will buy that lesser quality item over...

I used this for my last refinish. The only thing I did differently was I put on several coats of BLO oil sanded down to 400 grit before I applied the antique finish. After the antique finish I buffed it with a buffing system (Beal) that applied carnuba wax.

From this: To This: Finally This: Since I had it tore down I went a head and gave it a good tuning. After a little tweaking she is back to 3/4" 10 shot groups. 


I went to 2 different roofing supply ware houses this week. Neither one would sell to me because I no longer have a contractors licence (used to be a HVAC contractor). I friend of mine said when he gets some time he will get me a box. In the meantime I'm working on a couple of ideas.

Ya we have them. I have terrible luck with both of them being able to find the order once it gets there. 

I did some checking... None of the big box stores in my area carry these. I guess I'll have to come up with plan B. 

Both. Used - If I find something in a pawn shop or garage sale that I want to tinker with. I will usually sell them after I'm done tinkering. New - If I find something that I just want for myself. I have been known to keep a gun that I tinkered with for a while.

I have the Titan NP. At 20 yards it will do < 1" groups.... If I do my part. I did the bearing up grade to the trigger. That helped A LOT!

I have been playing around with the splatter targets. I have a bunch of pests stacking up in my shop... Shoot and See rabbits. Close to life size. Proto type of zeroing target Simple wood base for the targets

Never too shiny! I'll bet that took a lot of elbow grease.
