    Hatsan 125 5,5mm hunting

Shot placement, accuracy, expansion, I would go with the softer of the two as long as the accuracy is there.

    Eat what you kill?

I like the young grey squirrels that have been eating black walnut, the fat on them has a walnut taste, cooked in a Dutch oven with some morels or even oyster mushrooms! Their diet is important, rats will eat all kinds of things each other included.

    FX Crown MKII cocking issue

I don't know the platform but if it were me I would start with cleaning the works looking for debris and burrs, hammer spring bind, trigger return spring, surface engagement of sear and hammer, that's how I would start. Just be extremely careful with sear engagement as tht is a touchy area if...

Daisy Repair and Strengthen Plastic Daisy 25 stock.

There is a 880 mod of filling the plastic stock with caulk, I did one once and it no longer felt like a toy

First dove for the .25 Wildcat

My father who long ago departed to the happy hunting grounds, used to say that crows could tell the difference between a man with a rifle and a man with a stick.

    How to Start With Slugs

Sample pacs! Lol. find land and groove measurements and go over by 00.1. does the barrel have a choke? It might like a tad under groove diameter, I would try to start at as close to your best shooting pellets and go from there. Each gun is a individual and will tell you what it likes. One that...

Chamber seal type on Gamo Maxim 2nd gen

I am sure it will be synthetic, I don't believe that leather is used anymore for seals. The chamber should not need much oil due to dieseling and I believe when it does you use silicone oil and not very much at that.

    Muzzle crowns....industry observation

I have used cone shaped die grinder stones for cutting and rough polish on crowns or the little Dremel ones for small caliber. Slow and steady let the bore tell you what it wants and most time it's turning it in fingers keeping it square. There are threads online about coning muzzles on...

This life is a test! It is only a test! If it had been a actual life you would have received further instruction on where to go and what to do!

    Better wood on air rifles

My father in law did and mother in law still works for Midwest walnut! And they have closed down the Iowa location and are just running out of Missouri. They used to supply a lot of the major manufacturers but now a lot is being bought by China and some in Italy, I have no idea what kind of...

Hatsan Hatsan 125 5,5mm vortex spring

I have a 130 and believe they are basically the same platform; use the calculator on pyramid air you probably are already close to the 30 joules you are looking for, maybe trying heavier pellets to get there. I am not trying to be rude in the least and it's your rifle to do with as you see fit...

Hatsan Hatsan 125 5,5mm vortex spring

The ones I have seen say 150 bar (2100psi) and that's what I would suggest, I had mine at one time up to 3000 psi it shot hard on both ends and I don't know how long the gun would have taken it and for all the extra cocking force and strain on the gun didn't gain much. If this is the path you go...

Hatsan Hatsan 125 5,5mm vortex spring

As someone who has rebuilt the gas ram quite a few times, my first advice would be to stick with the coil spring! The gas rams can be rebuilt some have pressure release and some don't. I would definitely try to find one with the relief valve. About 2000psi is where I put mine and that is a tad...
