I'll try to clear some things up here that were very confusing to me. I think I remember getting around 35-40 good shots at that power level starting at 250 bar down to about 150 bar. The confusing thing is the fill pressure. There are several different fill pressures floating around out there...
I got 850 fps on high power with the JSB 18.13s and it was very accurate but I didn't want 30fpe in my back yard. I got the Compatto Sniper XR version which is the regulated version. You can still get unregulated if you want. This regulator is excellent!!! On the lighter weight pellets the...
Just got my .22 cal Brocock Compatto Sniper XR from AoA Wednesday. I didn't know anything about Brocock except it is a sister company to Daystate and as of late they may be sharing some technology. So, I took a chance on the Compatto and so far I'm happy with it. I wanted a rifle that was short...
After installing the Huma-Air regulator, I started with 145 bar, then changed to 130 bar for fun, then went back up to 140 bar where I finally settled. The max speed I could get was 950 fps and 95% of that was 902.5 fps. I got a pretty good group at about 904 fps and I'm sticking with it. That's...
OK. I finally got the o-ring (#99) out and replaced it but not until after taking out the valve and lapping the valve seal to the face of the valve with some Tormek polish I had. In the meantime, my Huma-Air regulator showed up. The only problem was their plenum was not long enough so I had an...
I want to try lapping the valve seal and the face of the valve but I can't figure out how to remove the valve face. I removed the hammer but I can't figure out how to remove the valve face that the valve seal goes through. It won't move forward or backward even after removing the set screw...
Tony at Talon Tunes said it may be the valve seal. My question is, can i polish the valve seal and/or the face of the valve to stop a leak? I have a lathe.
I decided to try checking the barrel so I started filling until it got above 110 bar and put some soapy water on my finger tip and placed it over the end of the barrel. Sure enough, that's where it's coming from. I'm not a rifle expert so where do I look for that type of leak on a Taipan Veteran...
I have been thinking about a Huma reg for my Taipan Veteran .25 for a while and now I have a reason -- maybe. I noticed a few weeks after filling my Taipan Veteran .25 that the pressure had dropped down to about 100 bar. I replaced the o-rings on each end of the air tube and the 2 on the factory...
I just got the V2 from Utah Airguns. Now, I have the Caldwell Kit that works but is finicky. I have to use the lights which requires an extension cord, the tripod is shaky, it only works thru the printer port on the side and I have to start things in a certain order. This V2 will be worth its...
Ditto on the Daystate Huntsman Revere-R (in 177). The quality is there and it's not that pellet picky. I don't have one but I just watched a video on the Huntsman Revere in .22 that was very impressive! If it's not against any rules, here's the video:
I have the Beeman R9 and I will probably never get rid of it. It's very accurate, easy to cock, easy to maintain, looks great, relatively quiet for a springer and doesn't weigh all that much even with scope!
