    Daystate Daystate Redwolf Surgery

My started leaking also so I did some tests to find it was not leaking from the barrel. Took it down and did the dirty. I have an "O" ring kit from Harbor Freight. Took the rings that matched and some others I had from other sources and replaced them as a test to see if I could stop the leak...

Why do you still shoot springers?

I can duplicate the results with my LGU and HW97 that I get with my Red Wolf and Wolverine R. It is harder to do, but on a good day, it gets done (at 40 yards). No, there is nothing wrong with the puffers. Pretty much one hole at times.

Daystate New/used Wolverine R slow leak

Mine developed a slow leak and I replaced all the "O" rings I could. Never knew which one was the bad guy because they all looked good before replacement.

If you could only have 1 springer air rifle, what would you choose?

LGU, Sold a TX200 and kept the LGU. It is not nearly as pretty, but after trigger work, it is all that I want or need when it comes to hitting the mark.

    Whiscombe Air Rifle Why?

I got to shoot one once and was told by the owner, if you forget to put a pellet into the chamber and fired it, it would or could trash the rifle. That wall of air was an important part of its operation.

    Why Did You Join AGN?

Because I got sick and tired of. "what did you shoot today, what air gun related thing did you do today and what did you order today:" on Air Gun Gate. That crapole has been on the first page for years and it has become annoying.

    Any guns you regret buying"

JSR Raptor, took a year to get, had to send it back for a barrel change, another 6 months. Then found out the regulator had to be turned all the way down to shoot 177 pellets that made it virtually non-adjustable because the gun was designed around a larger format. Sold it quick.

    ranges in NJ

As a former N.J. resident, I know what you have to go through to not only shoot, but to even own a gun in N.J. Air guns are viewed, by N.J. law as firearms and all that comes with them. What ever route you take, be sure it is fully legal or you could face jail time. I know a person, that if...

Best Tips on Shooting a Springer!

Don't get hung up on the artillery hold. My LGU likes to be held real tight against my shoulder. Try different holds and pressures, you may be surprised like I was. Don't have the pictures, so it didn't happen, but I shot a one hole group at 40 yards with a very tight grip on the gun.

    What's he hoping for?

Believe it or not, they are quite docile and can be picked up if done slowly as not to startle them. Not venomous, but can kill copperheads and do a good job on mice and other small pests.

This is the mess you get when you mix a Corgi with an Australian Shepard.

    HW97K Tune

You Tube is your friend when it comes to tuning a 97. It is not hard. Take some pictures as you go and go slow, you will be fine. I did mine without a spring compressor unless you consider arm power one. Even with the Vortek high power kit, the spring can be compressed and the threads started.

Ballistic gel is cool but 3D printing some Rubber flexible targets to test out for this week.

What ever you do, do NOT print a Chuck Norris mug. The pellet, no matter what caliber, will ricochet back and take you out. o_O

    Opining orings

When my Woverine R started leaking, I took it down and used the rings from a Harbor Freight kit that I had. I made sure if I couldn't get the exact size, I went a little bigger. Red neck I know, but it hasn't leaked for over a year. Next time it will be with the factory sized rings, but I was...

Daystate Wolverine "R" - First Impressions / Shots on Target / Pics

I have a standard Wolverine R .177 that was bought about 4 years ago. It has been a very accurate gun from the get go. It did develop a leak that took new "O" rings to fix. Anyone going into that gun should be reminded to de-gas the bottle first. A while back, I believe on this forum, there...

    Daystate Red Wolf air leakage

By the sound and sight of it, that looks like a full discharge as a possible result of your trigger being set too close to the edge and slipping into shot mode. Will it fire a pellet?

    Artillery hold

Some spring guns don't do well with the artillery hold. My 48 liked to be held tight for best results. I have tried different holds in many different ways and found a loose hold on my particular gun was not the best.

Daystate reseal time ... any advice?

I just resealed my Wolverine R using the "O" rings from a Harbor Freight kit. I know, I know, but they are holding air completely for now. I expect to have to do it again and will attempt to get the proper rings either from the O ring store or from AOA if they don't go for a lung on cost and...
