I think you only need one pellet. The one that works best at long range is the one to use. I just tried some JTS 21.5 semi-domes in my AA 500. Shot very well at 50 and killed a woodchuck real dead. As far as safety, well you need to treat them all the same. The 21 passed through the chuck...

I bought a 1300kt from the Crosman custom shop in 2020. Wore out the pump linkage twice. It became part of the Crosman part s inventory. I bought a HW70 but didn’t realize how old it was. The sear is junk and no longer available.

UTG only have a couple that are springer rated. The Hunter and Bug buster. i have used their other scopes on my springers and failed two of their most expensive ones. that’s when they denied warranty and stated that they are not springer rated. Step up a few $ and get a Hawke Airmax.

19 yards in the hostas next to the foundation. 21.5 JTS Semi dome. Theses pellets shoot @ 860fps out of my AA s500. Hit the little guy between the eye and ear and out the same spot on the other side. The JTS performed nicely in the wind at 25 and 50 yards. Next time I order, I will get a bunch.
