You can take care of these coons with a couple Duke's Dog-proof coon cuffs. Google them. Set them and bait with the same seeds or corn. Sleep tight and he will be in the trap next morning. Then you can walk right up to him and SHOOT HIM IN THE HEAD!!! I hate coons!!
Mike, Y'all keep talkin' bout shootin' those heavy pellets, I'm gonna have to break down and super tune at least my .25 cricket to see what all the fuss is about.
For lighweight yet power and good shot count, it's hard to beat a Vulcan 25. I use mine to keep the sparrows and starlings at bay in my back yard where I have some martin houses. I can take head shots on the birds sitting on the boxes at 55 yards away. I've killed a bunch of coons, squirrels and...
It OBVIOUSLY is NOT YOU SIR!!! You need to go get your facts straight! It is perfectly legal to shoot bobcats and coons (and a whole list of other non-game animals is this GREAT STATE. This is copied directly from the TPWD web site: Here's the link. ...
Very nice! Good shooting and great set up. Have the same thing on a Cricket 22 and Vulcan 25 (except scope on the 25 is the 6-24X50... Fun to keep the starlilngs n sparrows off my Martin houses...
I also use Donny's LDC's on my Crickets/Vulcans... Vulcan has the factory shroud with the adapter from Talon Tunes. The Crickets have Donny's CF Shrouds/adapters. They are all mouse-fart quiet. Donny sent me his early design to test and it was good... He later upgraded/changed the baffles and...
I don't use the GPS or Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and such, but do like the video feature and it is surprisingly good as long as you don't get too crazy with the zoom factor of the scope. This thing works very much like the old Sony TRV series video cameras with "night shot" except you can use it to...
Cool, BTB! Thanks. Looks like it even works! These are the as finished photos... weight down 1.1 pounds Also tried my hand at stippling and it came out pretty nice too... Had to do that to cover up flaws (bubbles) in the plastic that were uncovered by my cutting/sanding... Stippling blended...
I took my synthetic stock on my .25 cricket and through sawing, sanding and whittling, cut over a pound out of the stock. Made it a MUCH better rifle and easier to handle. There is a lot of excess plastic in that stock. There are pics in the "cricket picture thread" over on the TAG forum...
Dang, you guys are makin' my head hurt! I put a 5-20 on my .25 Cricket, and it is devistating on coons under my feeder at night... First time out, I got 3 of the 4 that were there munching on the corn... waited until it was so dark I could not see them with my naked eye (range approximately 25...
I was exactly where you are a few years ago... at the time Ed had a Left handed bolt option listed on the web site... When I inquired about the cost of getting that option, I was very disappointed in the response/feedback I got... I was told I didn't need it. Since Ed is a lefty he knew better...
I took over a pound of plastic off mine by cutting/grinding the sides and butt end of it and I removed the magazine holder. It helped a lot. It turned out real nice too. After I finished the final sanding, I stippled the grip and fore end. There's a thread on the TAG Kalibrgun forum, Cricket...
Excellent video! The pellet flight in some of those shots is exceptionally clear! I guess shooting directly with the camera as opposed to thru your scope helps that a bit. Mine always have an out-of-focus pellet, but I video thru my scope.
Well my deer lease is ON the Rio Grande and I air gun hunt too... taken lots of coons, rabbits, n such plus a few red squirrels there. Wish they'd make it legal to take turkey and javelina with air gun! It would be no contest to get those from one of my bow stands...
Had one of those good karma moments last week as well... Got my new .25 Vulcan in and scope had not arrived yet... Have a .22 Cricket with QD mounted Primary Arms FFP 4-14 scope on it. I decided to take it off and stick it on the Vulcan .25... First shot at 25 yards DEAD ON CENTER just a tad...
I am a bow hunter as well as an airgunner... I have killed over 30 turkeys with my bow, the last dozen or so with a "broadhead" called the turkey guillotine... It has 4 blades that essentially make a 90 degree 4 way cross. The principle of the head is to neck-shoot the turkey severing it's...
[email protected] is Earnest Rowe's email address. If you email him, and describe your problem to him, IF it is field fixable, he can tell you exactly how to do it. The guy is amazing! He has done all my outside work! Good luck.
Very good video Fred. Thanks for posting. One thing I notice in this video and all the others that I have seen is that they glue the adapter ring to the camera in such a way as to defeat the operation of the front ring on the camera. When I glued mine on, I was careful to only put glue (a good 1...
