I had a V2 that worked fine for the first few days, and after that it would only register very intermittently so it was totally unworkable (I did a writeup somewhere here on the forum about it). I use it about half of the time. It's very handy to ID something, (and you can use it also perfectly as aiming reticle!) but it takes up quite a lot of screen, so not ideal for scanning and detection. The clarity is, as you said: awesome! It would be nice if Arken could dedicate a shortcut...

At which vertical angle did you range your target? Because this is what I noticed: I have set a 12m zero range in my scope. The ballistics is spot on. When I range 12m. horizontal, the holdover aiming mark is centered. (like you'd expect...) But when I range from the same position to a 20...

They must all be Taipans then…;) The good news is you can get by with only one riser for all of them! And since it has these thumbscrews it’s much easier to change between guns than the standard mount which needs a hexdriver!

If you compare the rail of your Taipan with say a BRK Ghost or an FX you'll notice that the Taipan's rail is much lower, so that is why you need a riser...
