    PCP Reliability

I don’t think PCP reliability and repairability is given enough attention. On numerous pesting hunts with friends they have had mechanical problems with their guns. I have been shooting several Edgun M3 s for a decade and other than needing to change out o-rings they just keep on working...

Check This Out - Starling Disposal

For years I have been dumping dead starlings in my back yard. They are always gone by morning. So I put up a trail camera to capture the clean up effort Check it out.

    Tuning Matador R3 & R3M Great Choice

I have owned 2 Matadors for over a decade. I shoot them all the time pesting and target shooting. I find them extremely reliable, durable with little maintenance. They are easy to work on with very few parts. Since I haven’t owned that many other airguns I can’t say for sure how they...

    Sparrows & Starlings FYI

Out of all 9,700 species analyzed, four birds reached what the researchers call the "billion club," or species with an estimated global population of over a billion. These included the house sparrow at 1.6 billion, the European starling at 1.3 billion, the ring-billed gull at 1.2 billion, and...

    Edgun R3M .25. Need Advice

Just noticed that my Edgun when full of air shoots JSB 23 gr at 680 FPS. Than as I shoot it speeds up to around 920 FPS at 130 bar. Any idea what I need to do?

Best Slug for Pellet & Slug Combo Guns?

For 90% of my pesting pellets (JSB) at 930 FPS are best. But for some shots a slug would be better. So is there a slug that could work in an Edgun R3 .25 shooting JSBs at 930 FPS? I think I know the answer but thought I would ask anyway.

    FX Slugs vs JSB .22

Has anyone done a side by side comparison of FX slugs and JSB .22 18 gr pellets? Specifically if no changes to the reg setting and with out slug liners. I would like to be able to switch back and forth between the two but not sure if that works. For 90% of my shooting JSBs are great. ...

New Tubular Magazine - Check it out.

Check out this updated tubular magazine I made for my Edgun. I used a carbon arrow and cut it to the desired length. Then trimmed the feeder end with a dremel tool. I think you can see it in the picture. I cut the top 2/3 at an angle then a level section for the bottom 1/3. I...

    Great Backyard Tarket

i have been using this back yard target system for years and love it. Though I would share it here. I use a 4 x 8 or 8 x 8 piece of wood 12 inches long. I cut one piece of card board 12 x either 24 or 32 “ and with a staple gun cover the wood with the cardboard on the 4 long sides. ...

    EDgun Pesting with Slugs

I use my EDguns R3 and R3M .22 & .25 for farmyard and backyard pesting. Both shoot JSBs in the 930 FPS range very accurately. The vast majority of my shots are 75 yds and under. Occasionally I get shots in the 100-125 yd range. I don’t want to make any changes to my current setup. ...

Best Time and Season for Starlings

Would like some input from folks on the best times and seasons for wacking starlings. I find that shortly after the young hatch in the spring and the dead of winter are the two best times for success. But are there other peak times that work?

    Eurasian Collard Dove Population Expansion

I have been following the movement of the Eurasian Collard Dove across America on the internet. There is some good information out there but there are also lots of gaps. They list my state of Maryland as having a limited but growing population. I have been looking for them on the farms I...

    First Iguana Hunt in PR

A few weeks ago I went on my first iguana hunt would like to share my experience and observations with you. This past February I was suffering from a healthy dose of cabin fever when I got a call from a buddy (Jim) inviting me to hunt iguanas with him in Puerto Rico. Jim is a pro at pesting...
