Thanks guys, good point. I know I always want more once I have it. But it's for an impact, 680g to 913grams seems like a big jump from what I have on it at the moment. Anyone else using the 34x on the impact? I mainly just shoot paper but still like to shoulder the rifle for practise. 

Quick question for anyone with both the 6-24 and 8-36.. If you set both scopes to 24x power, are the reticules the same size / thickness? I have a primary arms 4-14 FFP, but the reticle becomes too thick at full power. So my theory was if the 6-24 became too thick at 24, I could buy the 8-36...

I have a Chrony F1 Green. Cheap and Simple, does seem a little sensitive to shooting angle though. I don't have one, but love the look of the Magneto speed V3. Attaches to muzzle so you can get distracted mid string and shoot different targets and still get consistent results.

Thanks, Looks great. Might just buy a 1/8" Male BSP to 1/8" Male BSP adapter and attach my filling hose on my scuba bottle and then read the reg pressure off my fill adapters Wika gauge. Should work, saves buying more bits for the time being. Cheers

Has anyone fitted a Wika or other oversize gauge yet? I imagine it would make reg adjustments a lot easier.

Try cocking it before you fill it. The hammer may be resting on the valve and holding it open as you are trying to fill from empty. Edit: Jumped to conclusion before reading your whole post. The above probably doesn't apply to you if you are shooting it. Try to work out where the leak is...

Can't you just have the shroud stop before the valve knob? I re-watched Ted's video and noticed that he's shroud sit's forward 3cm or so. (Hardly noticeable) I'd be interested to hear whether the small increase in ID + Less parts taking up volume + a cone shaped end cap makes any difference...

Another option is ordering the parts of a .25 impact shroud and put them on a .22 barrel. That would be pretty sweet. If someone has both they should give it a try. Without the full schematics for the rifle it's hard to tell if there are any hidden differences.


Great post. Interesting about the valve knob, how much smaller would the knob need to be? Would a 28mm shroud fit into one of the groves of the knob, preventing it from being adjusted with the shroud on but could probably live with that? EDIT: Disregard, found some photos showing the overlap...
