Unless you were stuck at 12 ft/lb then you would shoot .177 and shot placement is king

saw the Rabbit a long way off, managed to crawl within 35 yds of it before I took the shot, I was really pleased with myself for getting so close. I gave myself a virtual pat on the back for such a good effort. on further examination of the Rabbit it appeared all my self adulation was worthless...

The conditions issue is the same for any shot not just long distance wind will affect the 25 yd shots the same as a 55 yd shot
