I usually try to take my first rabbits of the year as soon as the season opens. It opens October 1st here. Freezes don't generally happen nearly that early here. As others have said and as with any animal you should check the health. I think time of year is MUCH less important than animals...

I must agree with the gauge on the end of the tube. That would freak me out a bit. I am not a fan of looking down the barrel of a gun. Other than that sounds like an awesome gun!!

Yes they are thieves. I found that I have to stay away from their site or stuff just shows up in the mail and they steal my money. That's what I tell the wife at least :)


Yep that's the one I have. I have a crosman Titan in .22. I love it. I have killed everything from flies to coons with it.

Good shooting. I usually use the jsb 18.1g pellets. They shoot straight and hit plenty hard for my shooting.

I have an older Crosman Titan in .22. Very similar to the Benji trail just no barrel shroud and a dovetail rather than a weaver mount. I love mine and have shout many thousands of pellets out of it. I find if I have not shot it in a long time it takes a bit for me to get back in the groove but...

For a disco or most pcp's I feel that a .22 is a great choice. About the only .177 I would choose would be in a pumper or a low powered springer. Other than that I find that .22 is about the best choice for hunting. 

I had one too. I loved that gun as a kid. I don't know how many critters fell to that little rifle. Man those were good times!
