    Which gauge to trust?

☝️ My tank and compressor gauges are both pretty high quality, they read very close. I'd default to the best gauge you have.

Diana Chaser butt stock ???? Oring finisher

Masking tape and black caulk seems to make sense to me.

    N/A peep sight on a hw50s

Definitely good food for thought, and certainly tracks. I have no idea what the peak cylinder temp is on these things, but I imagine it's quite high, so temperature would essentially have to be a factor. And I guess similar to a piston engine with varying material types and expansion rates, as...

Typically use AA 16gr in this one. Seems I could stand to find a lighter pellet.

    N/A peep sight on a hw50s

Indeed, but adjusting sights every time I use the gun has them laughing, until they're not 😅 from what has been said (and from reading I've done elsewhere), it sounds like the gun may very well still not be broken in yet. I havn't shot it excessively like some of my others. Which it seems may...

    N/A peep sight on a hw50s

What would you consider to be "warmed up"? Genuine question. If cold zero can't be repeated, then it's not much use as a hunter, so what is the trick there? Just shoot it cold? Again, genuine question. If cold and warm zero (assuming they are different POI) were the same consistently, I...

    N/A peep sight on a hw50s

Every time ive taken mine out after storing with breech closed, Ive had to adjust sights. Its not like the gun got banged around or anything. Ive had it several years. What would your takeaway be???

    PCP collection near complete

Thats a mighty fine collection. Lot of pretty wood there, too.

Thats a good bit of info. I had mine for a few years and poi kept shifting with breech closed. I'll try leaving it closed. Id think I would have left it closed long enough. Close to 2 years? Maybe something else is amiss.

Yes, I used to have a scope on mine. But changed it to peep sights. Only thing I'd say is store it with the breech open.

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 LOVE

That gun handles so nice. I removed the optic on mine and use peeps, so it handles even nicer. I imagine that 4x probably doesnt weigh all that much. (y)

Will oil actually rot wood? Ive never thought about that. I always figured it would protect it. Unless the oil is trapping pre existing moisture? I have no idea, to be honest. But I've never worried about getting oil on my wood. Ugh, that doesnt sound right 😅

Welcome. For pcp I might suggest looking at an avenger x. Ive heard a lot of great things. But you will want to consider length and weight. Should formulate some idea of what specs you need or want.

    Tuning Ft/lb vs pellet weight

Thats up to you. Generally this is determined by accuracy since that is far more importaint than power. Thats usually the one I will refer to. Whichever projectile i use the most. Like my .25 cal pistol will hit 65fpe with a 25gr pellet. They are so accurate, I have not done much testing...

Do you prefer a clean barrel shooter or a dirty barrel shooter?

Gunzilla extends my cleaning interval on powder guns almost 3x (judged by loss of accuracy). Not something you have to clean out. Thats usually what I use after I clean a barrel. Most of my bores are polished as well. When done throughly, properly, should extend cleaning interval even more...

Bingo. My rear sights are on my receiver, not the barrel. If they were on the barrel, i dont think it'd matter much. Leave this one sitting with breech closed for a while and zero will move.

Put it in its case. With air in it always. For springer, uncocked, obviously. And leave the breach open on break barrels.
