    Feinwerkbau search.

Just as a reminder, the FWB 300 series guns are springers while the 600 series are single stroke pneumatics. Both types are extremely accurate, but very different guns. The SSP Walther LGR is in the same league, but a beast to cock.

Alternate Stock for Cricket Mini Carbine .25

As far as I know, the mini carbine is only available in the skeletonized and (rarely) Monte Carlo wood stock, both in Beech. It is interesting that AoA indicates it is available in .25. The little carbine makes a great hunting gun.

    Bull Pup or Traditional Rifle?

I don't care for the high scope mounting the bullpup requires. It makes it hard to judge hold-under and hold-over at various distances when hunting. My favorite is the semi-bullpub that puts your cheek behind and below the receiver instead of on top of it, while maintaining a short OAL.

Cricket Mini Carbine vs. Brocock Bantam Sniper

I have a Mini Carbine that I use for shooting ground squirrels. It is very good ergonomically and extremely accurate. It is not a high powered gun, mine maxing out at 850 fps with 18 gr JSBs. The air capacity in the tube is also limited, but I can get a full morning hunting out of it. It has the...

AA Ev2 mk IV trigger trouble

My EV2 has never given me any trouble with the trigger, but here's a copy of the manual with trigger diagram and adjustment instructions. http://www.field-target.ee/img/manuals/aa/EV2%20Mk2.pdf

Auto Safety On The HW 97K

In my experience, Weihrauch safeties will gunk up and stop resetting after about a decade. Be patient.

    Bronze Cleaning Brushes

Plastic is softer than lead is softer than bronze is softer than steel. If you have impacted lead you will not clear it with plastic. If you have a steel barrel you will not scratch it with bronze. A well made barrel will seldom require the use of a bronze brush. But if you have heavy lead...

The new american revolution- Huggett vs DonnyFL

Silencers are all about volume. A silencer 2" x 10" can will definitely be quiet, but do you want something like that hanging off your gun?

    New toy

Yes, it makes sense, but if you scoot the rear sight to the rear as much as you can and place your eye as close to the aperture as possible you will gain a wider field of view and maybe increased depth of focus without sacrificing accuracy or precision. It will make target acquisition faster...

    New toy

Yes, but doesn't it have almost no field of view? Most people set their peep sights to be as close to the eye as possible.

    Springer pistols

If you can afford to buy and probably rebuild a Diana 6M it is very accurate and fun to shoot. Not the same quality as the FWB65, but probably just as accurate in a novice's hand.

I have never seen a peep sight set up like that. How do you use it?

    Bench rest opinions

Stability is important. Sandbags front and back. An adjustable all metal rest is handy for the front, otherwise stack some lumber or books. Put your money into guns and ammo.

    Springer Compession Chamber

If you are getting only moderate dieseling (smoke) you can shoot it out and the rifle will get back to normal over time. If the rifle is exhibiting serious detonation I don't know of any solution outside of disassembly.

    FWB 603 ain't no joke

Interestingly enough, I find the sled mechanism on the 300 so efficient that the recoil generated by the tiny pellet and air mass from my Walther LGR (SSP) is more apparent than the recoil from the 300.

How to MOD DonnyFL SUMO LDC VIDEO

This is a pretty interesting observation. Any idea of the mechanism of the velocity reduction? The only thing I can envision is increased pressure resistance generated as the pellet head approaches the orifice in the baffle or exit. Or increased air density as the pressure wave fills the...

How to MOD DonnyFL SUMO LDC VIDEO

I suspect you’re correct about this, although segmentating the chamber with a limited number of baffles may have some effect.
