Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

Well... I looked at the examples shown in this thread, and with that... I'm somewhat disenfranchised. It still seems that the end user had to charge the cylinder and add the projectile. Very different from my OP question...

Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

So... I'm guessing that despite steps toward this end... No one has successfully developed a plug, and play self contained airgun cartridge. Is that correct?

    I love mine.

Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

Hmmm... Do those loads arrive "plug, and play"? Or do you have to charge them, and load a projectile into them?

Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

I mean pre packaged, precharged cartridges. Not necessarily relocated bottles that one has to mate to a projectile to make into a cartridge. Basically just like a firearm cartridge, only with compressed gas.

    Variable chamber CO2

Not sure. But I'm certain other here could answer that.

Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

Not sure. As in a completely self contained, off the shelf cartridge?

    Variable chamber CO2

Not sure what introducing CO2 to the mix would do. Not sure it would prevent detonation from compression, which is what dieseling is. I had only mentioned it because that was the only supplemental propellant I know of that has been used in tandem with springers...

Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

Interesting. Whatever became of the company/design?

    Variable chamber CO2

I've seen folks intentionally diesel their springers by putting a drop of 3 in 1 oil in the pellet skirt...

Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

Very cool, and innovative as it's namesake suggests. Though stepping back, and looking closer... It's a bit more like a bottle, that can be refilled, than it is a precharged, full on cartridge. I was thinking something more along the lines of an off the shelf, load, and shoot type cartridge...

Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

I was also wondering about the efficacy of using helium in the cartridge design...

Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

I imagine one of the technical hurdles would be reliably retaining the projectile to the cartridge, and it being able to also fire reliably, at effective velocities.

Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

Interesting. Did any of these make it stateside?

Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

Yeah I was musing about how many shots I get from some of my CO2 pistols, and wondered, " what if each pellet had its own charge? Scaled up to the PCP rifle platform, it could really change the form factor, and eliminate the need for compressors.

Has A Cartridge Ever Been Tried?

I was sitting here wondering, as I'm prone to do... Has anyone ever tried to develop a cartridge based air rifle system? Much like the powder burner. Except the "brass" or whatever other type of material contains the gas, and is mated to the projectile. Seems like something someone would have...

Hatsan Sling Solutions For The Blitz

So I just got my Blitz back together, and I really only lack for one thing... A decent sling system. I was wondering what some of the Blitz owners here are running for a sling solution. I'll add a couple pics to show what available real estate i have, so folks can give me some insight as to what...

    Hatsan Blitz Barrel Screw Size?

Adding this photo to illustrate what I meant by the longer screw offering a better fit. The new screw is in the center hole, and the original is in the right.
