    Springers vs every thing else

I own a couple of premium springer rifles, some powder burners, a couple of PCP's and a SSP 10-meter match rifle. As a competition shooter, I train about 3 times a week with my Anschütz small bore match rifle and next to that I use an Anschütz Super Air 2002 for training at home, because it's...

Aliexpress PCP pump, excellent piece of kit

Bought a high pressure pump recently, for when the scuba tank runs empty, so I can still shoot my PCP's. Thought I might try one of those cheap pumps from China. Well, I'm amazed, this 3-stage pump comes almost completely assembled, has loads of spare parts, filters, and pumps quite smoothly up...

FX T12 (original model), serialnumber 4xxx

A very nice rifle entered my collection today. It's an FX T12 in .177 caliber, the original model with serialnumber 4xxx. So it's one of the first, still with Lothar Walther barrel, not SmoothTwist. It's a pretty light weight piece of barking kit with a simple 3x9/40 scope on it and a 16-shot...

Problems with Anschütz 2002 Super Air, any ideas?

When I pump one of my Anschütz Super Air 2002 rifles, load a pellet, and fire, the pellet comes out half the normal velocity and the rest of the air discharges when I move the cocking lever. Anyone ever experienced this or have any ideas about what's the cause of this?

    Air Arms TX200 HC

The Air Arms TX200 HC; it has the reputation of being the best air rifle in the market, so my expectations where high, when I decided to sell off a few of my other (.177) air rifles to buy this .22 hunter carbine. On forums people who own one all talk about the bluing, the walnut stock, the...

    HW77 Autumn Forrest laminated stock

I've been a huge fan of German rifles for as long as I can remember. I've owned a HW80, HW50s and HW30s. But I've had my eye on a HW77 for quite some time now. So I finally went out and bought one with a thumbhole stock. I've always wanted the Special Edition Autumn Forrest, but you can't find...

    Anschütz Super Air 2002 SSP

Yet another classic SSP match rifle just entered my collection; an Anschütz Super Air 2002 SSP. Unbelievably accurate and extremely well built, as one might expect from a premium brand such as Anschütz. I own multiple 10-meter match rifles, like the Walther LG210, Hämmerli AR-50, and Feinwerkbau...

    Walther LG210, in perfect condition!

I've managed to get my hands on a Walther LG210 SSP. It's the best of both worlds when it comes to PCP v.s. springer. Because it's SSP, you'll never run out of air like with a springer, but have the advantages of a PCP when it comes to recoilless shooting. The rifle is in pristine condition...

Guns you own, and used to own

I'm not a collector, I'm just a sporting- and recreational shooter. But I have owned quite some nice hardware over the past years, and most of the rifles I've sold, I regret selling. Anyway, I thought it was fun to start a topic where anyone can post guns they own, and used to own, and what...

Diana 340 N-tec Luxus Pro Compact out of production

I learned today from a Diana reseller that Diana has stoped the production of the Compact series of their Diana 340 N-tec (gasram) rifles, since it was bought by GSG. They introduced the 340 series shortly before they ran into problems and a few of those rifles (don't know what the exact numbers...

    Accuracy test FWB300S and HW30S

I know, comparing a fixed-barrel match rifle with a relatively cheap break-barrel rifle isn't fair. But I was just curious about the differences in accuracy between two of my all time favourite air rifles; the HW30S and the FWB300S, and had never actually tested them side by side. First of all...

Optisan Viper, reticle focus ring makes reticle move?!

Well I'll be ... On one of my powder burners I have an Optisan Viper 8-32*60 scope. Not bad at all, but that scope couldn't hold it's zero for some reason. Yesterday I was cleaning the lenses, and I wanted to re-focus my reticle again, and noticed that when adjusting the reticle focus ring, my...

TIP: Safe uncocking of (low power) brake barrel

Not known to a lot of people, but low powered brake barrel springers (like the HW30S) can be decocked easily. When it’s cocked, just break the barrel again, keep your hand firmly on the barrel, disengage the safety (if applicable) and gently pull the trigger while guiding the barrel back into...

FWB 300S restoration project - from trashcan material, to brand spanking new!

It's done, took me a couple of weeks to bring this almost 40 year vintage FWB 300S back from the dead, but it's become the best restoration project I've ever done. This rifle was bought by my gun club back in 1977, and has been used ever since to train many members over the years. It has been...

    Crosman 2240 pimping project

Took me over a week, but my custom 2240 project has almost come to an end. The only things I still need to do is replace the front sight with something decent (still looking for it), and I'll have the main tube and barrel cerakoted in a nice matt nickel finish. Replaced almost everything...

    FX Independence loses pressure

Hi y'all! I have an FX Independence shrouded version in .22. For some time now, it loses pressure, after 24 hours the gauge goes down from 200 to 150 bar, and eventually all pressure is lost. I have checked the fill probe (replaced o-ring inside it, used teflon tape on the thread, cleaned it...
