    The Rats of Spring

Nice fat one! I illuminate the targets at night by simply turning on my deck lights and lighting up the yard. With the scope on mid power it is easy to see them and since I am under the deck I don't get any glare from the lights.

Watch & Discuss the Air Arms ProSport .22 in Walnut!!

Impressive rifle. I really like the under lever cocking arrangement. I owned an anniversary model HW97 and loved it. I have been looking for a replacelement and this might be it. Hope I win 😎

Question from one of the new guys

Welcome Aboard! I too am a reloader, powder burner and also an airgun shooter. My first air rifle was one of the Daisy 1894 replicas. I was six years old when my Dad gave me that one. It went away when I snuck it out and put little BB holes in the neighbors garage side window. He happened...

Use of Heavy Pellets in Springers

I have heard that use of heavy orextra heavy pellets in spring piston rifles can damage them. For example, using a pellet over 15 grains in a .22 spring piston gun. Is there anything to this?

Watch & Discuss the Air Arms s510 XS Ultimate Sporter Laminate .25

It looks like a very nice package. But it also looks very long. Is that just the effect of camera angle, etc?

    Hand Pumping Question

I will admit I have been eyeing one of the new Air Venturi Nomad mini compressors. They are just for pumping your PCP and not for filling tanks. I really like the idea of being able to operate off a car battery in the field. Just hook up and in the time it takes for a cup of coffee your PCP...

    Benjamin Handpump & Hatsan Flash?

I had something similar happen with a new probe and adapter. Though it was tight enough for a good crush on the Delrin seal in the coupler but it wasn't and still leaked. I sucked up the fitting a bit more and it was fine.

    Hand Pumping Question

Have a look at the Gamo Urban for a starter PCP. They are attractively priced, accurate and quality built for the money. Add a 4-12 40mm scope with parallax adustment and mounts for maybe another $100. I have really enjoyed mine. They are good and quiet. I spent more money on my first pump...

Is the troy tune worth the money?

Troy did an excellent job on my Breaker .22. I actually just ordered the rifle through him. He is less than an hour away from Pyramyd Air so picks them up there and tunes to order. If you want it to work well with a certain pellet weight he will take that into account during his setup which...

what positions you like to shoot from

Any position that might occur in a realistic scenario I practice. Prone, no support. Prone with support. Sitting, kneeling, on side with improvised rest. Standing using trees or fenceposts. Sitting with sticks or other rests. Standing freehand. Pehaps a half dozen more similar...
