Effects of valve-stem length on Co2 performance...

Here’s what I got: Gun is a Higgins branded Crosman 180, with no provisions for adjusting hammer strike. It’s a real gas hog, 20-25 good shots before power starts dropping. Would like to rein it in some. Thinking, if I shortened the valve-stem a tad, the valve-blow would be abbreviated, and...

Same gun listed on two auction sites?

I’m not naming anyone, because maybe it’s perfectly legal/ethical... But, I have just seen the same, identical, unique air rifle listed on both ebay and gunbroker (exact same series of pics, same backdrops in pics, unique sights/scope, same city and state). Is this legal? Suppose he gets...

Pulled an old Beeman C-1 carbine out of the mothballs...

I bought this one (a .22) abt 35 yrs ago and mounted the tiny SS-1 scope. Excuse the home-brewed rope-burn camo, but the original beech was nothing special, and I was young and impulsive. It still shoots 11.7 fpme, and cuts the centers out of the bull w/ FTTs (600 fps). It’ll clock Hobbies @...

Barrel-Chop, has it ever changed ur gun’s ammo preference?

I have a .22 XS-25 in a Blackhawk Elite stock (I might be the only shooter around who actually likes that oddball synthetic stock) I shortened the barrel 3” and it still shoots just fine with its favorite ammo (FTTs). Kinda wondering if I should re-test it with all the ammo it used to hate...

    Old Timey “Super Pells”...

Blast from the past; Broke out a tin of ancient .22 Crosman Super Pells. Shown is a 5 shot/ 9 yd group using 6 pumps in an old 1400. Pleasantly surprised

    Boring accurate?

Ever settle down on the porch for some plinking, rattle a few targets of opportunity, at various ranges and a half dozen shots later just look down at your weapon and think “This gun just doesn’t miss, now what am I going to do with the rest of the afternoon?!” Not bragging, consider myself to...

    Found some inexpensive "reactive" targets...A

As kids, we would set-up the little Army Men in a sand box, and blaze away with out Red Riders, etc. These "Jumbo" sized examples stand about 4.75" tall, and make challenging targets, at distance..

    S&W 77A, anyone?

Anybody handled one of these? Big, for a pumper, designed for 20 pumps. Just shooting mine. Likes FTTs and clocks 750 fps. 18 FP was pretty big medicine for the '70s!
