FX FX Barrel/Liner Problems - with picture

Don't pay any attention to these "dinky dao" opinions here brother. Half of them are based on ignorance. FX barrels are neither hammer forged or drilled/reamed. FX buys tubing from a third party and applies rifling by applying external pressure. Every once in a while, a bad one gets through...

An experiment I would like to see

Hot rodders know that a very smooth surface inside the intake maifold of engines is less efficient than a rough surface, so they grit or bead blast the interiors before using. I wonder how much different pellet velocity would be between as manufacured pellets and those with bead blasted heads...

    Brocock/BRK Brocock and FX

IMO, pesting doesn't require a top tier rifle. You could probably get away with a Mrod or such. Accuracy would be adequate and you could consider the rifle expendable although they are quite durable.

N/A .177 in 700mm slugger is it diminishing returns??

600 mm should be more than adequate for .177. My crown does fairly well. I also have a RAW coming with a 24 inch(600mm) bbl. Does anyone make a longer one?

    Pellet Sorting results (Again)

I was killing time in my basement and found an almost empty tin of AA 10.3 gr pellets. I started shooting them at 10M with my AA HFT 500 and every once in a while got a flyer. So, out came my scale and I started weighing. I weighed about 15 of them and most were etween 10.1-10.3. BUT, one...

I never need to clean my barrel -- am I the only one?

Every one of my rifles, from .177 cal to .30 cal have choked barrels. After about 100 shots or so, I run a patch trough them moistened with Ballistol. In every instance, there are lead flakes on the patches. So how can you folks tell me that your barrels stay clean? What are you shooting...

I never need to clean my barrel -- am I the only one?

So you don't clean your barrel until accuracy suffers. That's ok if you are shooting cans in the backyard. If your accuracy suffers in the middle of a match, you lose. You may as well pack up your stuff and go home because it's too late.

    100yds???

I’ve shot against a couple of winners of these events at our lacal matches. The turbulence here is ridiculous. 220-230 is a darn good score. Practice a lot, brother.

    100yds???

You should go to RMAC or EBR and kick everyone's butt.

    100yds???

Air must be dead calm. You couldn't do that in a 100 years at our range.

Which Airgun Dealer Has The Best Customer Service?

Seems no one can post a simple question on this forum and get a simple answer. I vote for Trenier Airguns and Utah Airguns.

I never need to clean my barrel -- am I the only one?

Most competitive shooters clean their barrels before and during competition to maintain accuracy of their rifles. I would never go to a match with a dirty gun barrel.

I never need to clean my barrel -- am I the only one?

You are not a competition shooter.

N/A What is the most accurate.177 PCP at 100yds all opinions welcome???

The 100 yard matches that I compete in have no caliber restraints excya power limit of 100 fpe. I, and ott, have used everything up to 30 cal. This range always has turbulent conditions. We have national competitors here that use highly developed rifles and are darned good marksmen. Anyone...
