Daystate wolverine R vs weihrauch HW100, which is more quiet?

I've tuned mine down to 11 fpe, and it's darn near silent.

Daystate wolverine R vs weihrauch HW100, which is more quiet?

I've owned both, and the HW100 is quieter. Plus, it's much more tunable than the Daystate, and a better trigger. If you get the laminated stock version, then you get an adjustable comb, which I find very desirable.

Is .25 cal at sub 12ft/lb effective at taking down pests

Assuming a constant of 12 fpe, I think the caliber makes no practical difference. Generally, I prefer a .177 at that power level, but again, at 15 yards it makes no difference, IMO.

RAW Rapid Deciding between a DonnyFL Koi and Sumo on my .25 RAW

I tried a Koi once and thought it was less effective than the Sumo so I exchanged it. My RAW is an older one with Martin's original in-house moderator (not the car muffler), and I believe it might be as good as the Sumo, although I had no way to compare them on the RAW barrel.

Squirrels need to go says my Wife

The game warden was right. The parasite looks nasty, but it doesn't invade below the skin. The meat is not affected. The remaining question, is good squirrel meat all that good? I grew up hunting and eating them, and my experience is that younger squirrels tend to be rather tender and tasty...

Squirrels need to go says my Wife

Squirrels are a game animal in my state too. And shooting an air rifle within the city limits is also prohibited in my town. So, maybe I'll get a quantity discount! But seriously, I think the practical considerations are much more important than any legal issues. If you keep the pellets on your...

Whats the one thing on your favorite gun you wish was on all guns.....

Two primarily: First, the metal-to-metal fit of the RAW pellet probe as mentioned by the OP. It's just basic machine work, like valves in an internal combustion engine. Secondly, magazines that do not use a spring advancement design. The Taipan Veteran and the HW 100 are two that I really llike.

N/A What do you advise? Brands.

Anything mechanical will break. Likewise, such a contraption needs routine maintenance. New owners who come from a firearm background may be disappointed in the maintenance that some air rifles require. Depending on your level of interest and competency in mechanical stuff, access to a reliable...

Which Airgun Dealer Has The Best Customer Service?

The question seems absolutely unambiguous to me. The poster is asking about service from "air gun dealers", and that seems clear. I have enjoyed quality customer service from Martin Rutterford (yes, that is the correct spelling) at Airguns USA, formerly Rapid Air Weapons. He remains the key...

    Daystate LOUD Daystate Revere

When you mention a "barrel end" O ring, to which one are you referring? The TP and its O rings are under the barrel, and cannot be accessed or replaced without disassembling the top and bottom action parts. The breech seal O ring is on the pellet probe. Those are the only barrel related O rings...

RAW Rapid Loud thinking. Can we install FX Impact M3 1st regulator in RAW HM1000X?

How often do you change your reg set point? Apparently, many FX fans must do it daily, which is great for Fredrik's marketing! If you really play with it a lot, then I can see were you might want something closer to the FX adjustamatics. I prefer the big, solid RAW reg, but I've changed it only...

    Daystate Daystate revere .177

That's the breech seal on the probe. His issue is with the transfer port seal.

FX Not convinced an FX Crown bottle clamp is a good idea

Yes, but air pressure isn't really the issue. With a bottle clamp mounted up front, you are creating maximum leverage against the bottle/action connection. Under normal use, it shouldn't be a problem, and many folks use it, but, using the stock as the mounting platform is strong, and creates no...

Steyr no longer sold in the USA?

I had a Steyr a few years ago. At that time, Steyr made a slip-on moderator adapter that was held in place by a small grub screw, worked great.

    Daystate Daystate revere .177

I'm trying to understand how this happens. When you "reseat" the O ring, then obviously you disassemble the action, and with the top and bottom modules separated, you place an O ring into the transfer port recess. Then, when reassembled, the O ring encircles the top of the brass transfer port...

    Daystate Daystate revere .177

The flat breech bottom should have nothing to do with it. The TP O rings are captured by the TP itself. Unless it's torn apart, I don't know how it could reach that location.

    Help Me .177 or .22

For squirrels, I can tell no difference inside 35 yards, including a 12 fpe .177.

    Cleaning products

If you are asking about the bore, and assuming the barrel has no tooling damage, I don't think it makes much difference. I use Ballistol, but WD-40 is fine as a cleaning agent (not as a lubricant). Air rifles don't generate the pressure and heat as found with firearms, and there is no jacket...

FX Dreamline has its First Failure

How old and how much had the rifle been shot when you noticed these leaks? Hopefully it wasn't shipped in that condition, but I question the QC of some makers.

Brocock/BRK Airguns that are an upgrade from my Brocock Sniper HP

The only one I own is the RAW, and it's excellent. I've owned a Brocock Sniper, and the RAW is definitely an upgrade.
