I've tuned mine down to 11 fpe, and it's darn near silent.

I've owned both, and the HW100 is quieter. Plus, it's much more tunable than the Daystate, and a better trigger. If you get the laminated stock version, then you get an adjustable comb, which I find very desirable.

Assuming a constant of 12 fpe, I think the caliber makes no practical difference. Generally, I prefer a .177 at that power level, but again, at 15 yards it makes no difference, IMO.

The flat breech bottom should have nothing to do with it. The TP O rings are captured by the TP itself. Unless it's torn apart, I don't know how it could reach that location.

The only one I own is the RAW, and it's excellent. I've owned a Brocock Sniper, and the RAW is definitely an upgrade.
