So I ended up going with the original Zulus no LRF. I'm excited to try it. Sold my Athlon Helos 2-12x42 as it will be replacing that.

I like having some extra batteries. Be careful buying 18650’s, there is some real crap out there. I don’t play the mAh game, I buy with the standard mAh rating.
And always use the cases or sleeves. They will catch fire if you have a few loose in a bag.

The good ones last surprisingly long. I had four batteries already and it came with two so I'm set. One thing I noticed is that usually after a battery swap it doesn't take long to get down to 75%. But then it seems to take a lot of time to get to 25%. I can go from 100% to 75% in a couple days with limited IR use, then it can take weeks to get from 75% to 25% with the same usage.

Well at this point I'm thinking my Evol Mini. There's been no interest in it. I did pickup a Taipan Vet Short in anticipation of it selling but might be selling that instead. Planned on keeping both but decided against it. I think it would probably fit better on the Mini also being that it has an adjustable cheek piece so I can have a good cheek weld. The Zulus might sit too high for the Shorty for me to comfortably use it. If not though ideally the Taipan.

I have 2 others from a light kit I bought a couple years back. So with the 2 it comes with I should have 4. It won't be used all that much I don't think but if I need more I appreciate the link.

Well damn the wait and my research, I ended up calling Doug at Cameraland and upgrading my order to the LRF version. Sold my truck I owned since 15 this week and got a decent chunk more than expected so figured I would upgrade the scope. All the videos I watched it seems pretty amazing having the ballistics built in. I can now actually drop my tune lower than usual and instead of learning new holdovers different from what I've known for years (JSB 18gr/16gr at 860fps/900fps on ALL guns I've owned the last 4 years) it'll all be right there in my scope no fiddling around with a range finder, then strelok then shooting. If this package is as good as all the reviews seem to be it might be a multigun scope between the Evol and Taipan Long.

@Dairyboy - It gets better if you want to swap out ammo/tunes with the same gun. All you do is add each profile and select it prior to shooting! I do that on a .177 that I have tuned to do 13gr and 16gr pellets - works like a charm. The BC/LRF does it's job properly. I don't swap the whole scope out often, but I do occasionally and the preset profile makes it very easy to mount and zero.

I think your Evol would make an ultimate night gun. My Evol would already be a designated night gun but the mag won’t let me mount the Wraith where I want it. I’m still searching for a place to make my Evol worth keeping. It’s such a good gun and it’s hard to part with it.

Yeah I might try that too. Could change my tune depending on what I need it for at the time. I like the idea of having different settings. I'm also looking forward to recording my shots for the first time. I'm not sure if I will change it on guns but there is a possibility.

Yeah the more I thought about it I thought the same. With how small the Zulus is I'll be able to mount it on the back part of the rail and have full access to the mag. I do need a riser for it though but not a big deal. Needs to have 5 slots and only has 4. 1/2" QD riser will fit there and make it work. But yeah the Evols are fantastic guns

@Dairyboy - I think you will find that the scope does well out to 100 yards and the video for both day and night are very good. I thought I would be using mine more for night work but have found I really have started to like it for day shooting also. The video recording to me is just a bonus and when your target shooting, it helps you see how your shots are moving. Sometimes when your hunting, the moment is too quick to turn the recorder on, but most of the times you will easily go up top and start the recording. The different settings are great if you have a gun that shoots both slugs and pellets to flip over whne you switch.

I'll choose nowadays scopes for my rathunting with lrf. I have now the hikmikro Panther pq 50 with lrf. Its very easy to use it on the shorter distance such as under the 20 meters. My pbr is lying in a killzone of 1 cm from 21 to 41 meters there for its not so necessarry. I schooting with impact m3 caliber .25 and shoot with 255 m/sec. Its not necessary to have lrf, but still its handy!
