I recently purchased a .22 Taipan Veteran 2 with 550mm CZ unchoked barrel from a AGN member. He had the rifle tuned for 25.39 and the new 28g JSBs.
I left the reg at 150bar, backed off the hammer spring and shot this target with FX (JSB) 18.13g - the 1st 30-Challenge card I shot with the rifle. Scored 200 - never had a rifle score that high on its first card before. 10-ring is .125” diameter.
Velocity is written next to each target - avg about 920fps.
I have not tried 25.39g yet as not sure if I will drop reg pressure and tune for 18.13g (improving efficiency) or if I want to retain a higher powered tune. Wish the 21g MRD lights were available to test in this rifle.
Btw, when zeroing the scope on my Vet 2 at 30 yards I used some Hatsan Vortex Strike 17.75g - it shot them all through one hole - see cardboard - so the 550mm Vet 2 does not seem pellet picky.
