Daystate Daystate Revere or Weihrauch HW100 for field target.

Having shot FT for 2-3 years with an unregulated regal, and are new owners of a huntsman revere safari -- they are absolutely some of the most accurate new to FT without having to go nuts on a Thomas or Redwolf pieces on the market.

I have never been or heard of anyone disappointed with a huntsman model.

I own both rifles, they are both excellent, but I would choose the HW100. It has a better trigger, both the trigger and the rifle are more owner friendly for tuning, I like the adjustable stock comb, and the barrel is easily removeable if desired for cleaning. Also, the Weihrauch magazine system is one of the best, so there is no need for single shot loading. On average, both are more than adequately accurate for FT, so it's mostly a matter of personal preference.

I also own both and would agree that while the trigger on the Daystate is very nice, the HW100 is better. Magazine capacity(14 vs. 11) as well as simplicity also favor the HW100. The HW100 is a tad heavier. You'll make a wise decision and should have no regrets whichever you choose.

My biggest complaint with the revere is the heavy trigger; you can't adjust the pull weight, just the sear engagement. I actually prefer the trigger on my marauder f&t.

I have been looking for mid power 22 pellet shooter and the HW100 and regulated Revere are the two top picks. The only thing I did not like on the HW100 was that I found the cocking on the forward stroke awkward at best.
I have seen some people putting a drop down handle on them. Guess that would mitigate the cocking on close a good deal.
Anyone else notice this or am I just too clumsy?
I really liked the HW100 other than that. Superb trigger and accuracy was very good.

I want a HW100 to add to my collection, but it hasn’t come along yet. I do own a Revere Safari.

This post is just to add some info if you go Revere. Mine was tuned at factory for 10.3 grain(850fps), AoA tested it with 10.3 gr, I shot 10.3 grain initially. It shot those well. It’s still relatively new, maybe close to 2k pellets through it. I tried regular Monster 13gr JSB’s and it shot those better than the 10’s. Yesterday I shot 13gr Redesigs and it shot those even better.
I say this for two reasons:
1. Initial testing with my rifle it grouped 10,3 gr pellets the best. It wasn’t until after breaking it in did it shoot the heavier pellets better.
2. I’ve done zero tuning, so it is shooting these 13 gr slower than the magical 850 fps.

This was 25 yards with an 18mph wind yesterday.
