Javelin 34g slugs and MK3 settings

Impact 701, Thanks, but I was looking for an easy starting place on a M3 vs doing all the work that Matt had in that M2 video.

Javelin 34g slugs and MK3 settings

I get the value pack (puy 4 get 1) Javelin 34s from Utah Air. I also got one 'cylinder' of each of the lighter Javelins from UA.

Javelin 34g slugs and MK3 settings

I recall a video where Matt Duber mentions he is sending the 33s at 1050fps. I can't get hits with google or this forum search to see what he's using for MK3 settings. Does anyone know? Anyone else here gpt great results with an M3 around 1000 to 1050 fps that would share settings for those...

    Jsb .177 knockouts in daystate

I've got a Daystate Airwolf MCT with a Heliboard. Its favorite slugs are the NSA 20.2s in .216 diameter. I've tried 216, .2165, and .217 diameters as well as other slug manufactures. Larger diameter slugs just fit tighter and slow down more. 20.2 are 850fps 23.0 are 790 17.5 are 893 fps...

Tuning Impact M3 and .22 NSA 31s tune

Kiba, Yes, they installed the FX slug power kit, Huma high flow port, and FX adjustable slug probe. I'll give your suggestions a try after I see how their tune patters. 2L8, Thank you for the info!

Tuning Impact M3 and .22 NSA 31s tune

Thanks, Cahil_2. Yea, if that tune results in one rough hole at 100 yards, I don't care if it is leaving at 60 or 70 ft/lbs. With that slugs BC, anything I'd shoot at would be a done for with a head or heart short. I'm looking forward to seeing what the tune does on paper. I also have a...

Tuning Impact M3 and .22 NSA 31s tune

Solo1, Thanks for the info!. Interesting your 25 reg is 10psi below my .22 reg. Impact 701, Wow! Our hammer spring rebounds are both at "4" and our bottle regs are about the same. I have the slug rebound springs in mine. You have less 2nd reg pressure (135 to my 150) than I do and...

Tuning Impact M3 and .22 NSA 31s tune

Just received my 700mm M3 which was tuned by the store for .22 NSA 31s. It has the FX high flow port, the FX slug probe, and the slug power kit. 'Main bottle is 250 bar. The bottle regulator is at 160 bar. The rear regulator is at 150 bar. Power wheel came on 16. Tension picture is...

Pellet testing JSB 18, Hunter Extreme, Hades, Polymag, Slug in ballistic gel

JungleShooter, I have not done other tests as I'm still using the same air guns and ammo. I have a Impact M3 and some Patriot Javellin .22s in the 34 grain flavor on order. When they get in, I will redo my .22 pellets and slugs in 10% gel.

4.5 fpe, under 6 yards, 0 pellet expansion fix tested / confirmed

For what its worth, i've only tested this out in my Steyr EVO 10 pistol shooting at distances up to 6 yards, at which point I switch back to my .177 rifle. At 1-6 yards, i doubt there is much time for the ill effects of flying backwards to manifest themselves in significant changes in pellets...

4.5 fpe, under 6 yards, 0 pellet expansion fix tested / confirmed

I've been shooting chipmunks and squirrels at 6 yards and under using my 10M pistol, as my .177 rifle scope doesn't focus in / turret adjust down under 5 yards. I have no problems with a immediate kills on a headshot, but was getting pass throughs and not immediate takedowns on chest shots. ...

FX Impact MK2 Accuracy tests Part 1 - slugs

As a trailing thought, your windy conditions are likely the best for the test. Do the above with slugs then repeat with pellets. Don't compensate for the wind. Hold center for all shots and record the results for both pellets and slugs.

FX Impact MK2 Accuracy tests Part 1 - slugs

Max115, Given your windy test conditions, I'd completely agree with your statement "I can state that shooting a slug out to 100 yards in an open field is more likely to hit the bullseye consistently than using a pellet. ". I'm not really weighing in on one being more accurate than the other as...
