If you are a DIY kinda guy and want to be able to change and repair your own gun then a Marauder is the way to go. If not then the more expensive gun is the way to go. Know thyself !! :)

Have you looked at the ATN X Sight ? I have the 3 - 14X and it works great day or night. I can spot field mice at 50 yards with the included IR light so shooting them at the ranges you mention will be fine. You must however buy the extended power supply or set up one for yourself for any...

You need to find out what is drawing the rats to your yard...what are they eating? The world has an endless supply of rats and although it is fun to shoot them you cannot eliminate them that way if something continues to draw them to your yard.

Guess we will have to buy our own regulators and not be able to turn them on and off !! :)
