Need power increase -- RAW HM1000x in .25cal with polygon barrel

34gr is my goto Raw pellet. 25's are OK but 34's are where I keep coming back to.

    Thread lock/ No thread lock?

I use plumbing teflon tape to wrap the male threaded part and then screw together. The more tape you use the tighter. Doesn’t vibrate loose but can be unscrewed fine. When my suppressor is too tight or too loose my poi is not as consistent as it is when put it on somewhat firmly with tape.

whats needed to keep moisture out of my pcp gun?

Big subject. I'm a diver and we go to great lengths to get dry air. When using steel tanks there is a potential of corrosion. 20% humidity at atmospheric pressure feels really dry as the water is easily held by the air as vapor. Now if you pressurize the 20% air to 3,000 psi then the...

    Pellet Seating FWB65

Breech, Then finger tight, and lastly pressed in with tool until pellet "clicked" into place. As you can see there is only a very small tapered area and then the rifling. The way the pistol is made I have to use a right angle tool since very little space between breech and retracted piston. I...

An odd questions about how people shoot when getting MOA groups.

locked down rifle in indoor range best test of gun to be used in perfect conditions without compensations. Otherwise, there are no perfect conditions. My best groups in the real world often the result of me seeing movement of impacts and adjusting aim accordingly. With powder burners sometimes...

    Pellet Seating FWB65

When seating pellet by hand the skirt does not enter barrel which increases start pressure. Pressing pellet with a ball tipped tool can put entire pellet into bore which lessens start pressure and is probably more consistent. The fwb65 doesn’t seem to have any taper or lead into the barrel so...

    A Pair of FWB 65's

My pistol has returned from rebuild. Figured I’d put half a tin through it before serious evaluation. The new spring is noticeably harder to cock but process is smooth. I can smell a little burnt oil after firing. Out to 25yds if you are as big as a golf ball I own you. Even so I believe my...

    Rifle cleaning and maintenance

I heard Martin uses motor oil on RAW hammers—very light coat.

strelok pro / two totally different guns / group effort to help Jimmy out? ;-)

If clicks are consistent but not a true 1/4 moa you can put in the actual value of a click as determined by testing. I usually vise up my scope, aim it at a target (50yds or more) with a few aiming dots a measured distance apart vertically (4 or5 inches anyway). With the scope locked down on...

    RedWolf Heliboard tuner??

I tune my Heliboard working up from low pressure to high rather than shooting down the pressure from full. It saves a lot of air. I go above a setpoint pressure wise and then shoot down to just below the set point then move up to the next pressure set point and so on. This way I don’t have to...

My $0.02 on MOA claims without pictures.

To go in the opposite direction I think the shooter may often be the reason a gun can’t group. I have never been much of a golfer. Telling people that breaking 90 is a good day for me is a little soul crushing. In fact typing that last sentence made me feel ill. I’m making no comment of rounds...

My $0.02 on MOA claims without pictures.

The scores of top shooters during competition tell a better story of what is repeatable capability. Of course many of us never shoot matches. I consider a rifles grouping capability one that can be demonstrated on command over and over. My best groups have been in wind with me doping each...
