    That's the wrong attitude to have for trying to determine why they're getting damaged and how to correct the problem. Dealers shouldn't have to eat that cost.

    Spot on. I've always recommend that people should try and identify the projectile that they need first and foremost, and then figure out which barrel and rifle are appropriate. It's much better than trying to shove a square peg in a round hole. There's obviously lots of variables there like...

    That procedure doesn't usually apply to measuring chokes. The typical use case for casting bores is firearm chambers to get references / measurements for headspace, thorat / throat wear and then a general bore/groove measurement. You don't really see too many chokes in rifled firearm barrels...
