How realistic is a 1" group at 100 yards?

SHOT AT DAWN! To avoid variations in wind direction and thermal variations in density along the trajectory, check the weather forecast for wind speed and set your alarm clock early, when you want to do your next test.

    another problem with Wildcat 22

Good to see that a simple problem - the HST screw working itself out - had a simple solution. When I had a similar problem, it turned out to be the barrel twisting over the transfer port. Same as Matt247365's problem. I replaced the barrel holding grubscrew with a pointy one, which sat snugly...

Fx Wildcat .25 Huggett 1/2x20 UNF Rear Endcap

The guy who sold you the Huggett might have a UNF rear endcap, unused - and unusable to him - at the back of the second drawer down in his workbench.

Why is a single shot tray more accurate than a magazine?

I recently found the precision of my DS Airwolf going down the toilet. It bugged me for several months, and it was only when I fitted a single shot tray, (to try some Polymags - rather good, not fab), that I accidentally solved my problem. I then dug out my spare magazine from the back of the...

    Help! Moderator size.

I've just checked my 2. One was 0.29", the other was 0.31". 0.26 would be likely to cause 'clipping' and inaccuracy, unless it and the barrel were extremely precisely machined.

Help Regal xl, streamline, or wildcat purchase

I can vouch for the Wildcat. Looking at your list, if it contains the Streamline, you should also consider the HW110. I have an HW100tk in 177 and love it, even more accurate than my WC., But the 110 is lighter, and more efficient with air, so likely quieter too, especially in 22..

    A little disappointed

No, no, no. To best hunt Sasquatch, a Yeti, or The Loch Ness Monster, you need a camera with no more than 8 pixels.

    Why No Electronic Triggers?

What are the benefits of an electric trigger? I have some good and not so good triggers on my guns, but the trigger on my DS Airwolf is the best. Crisp and light and adjustable and dependable. The improved lock time means I have less time to wave the barrel around before the pellet leaves it...

    Fx impact ftlbs problem

I'm not a regulator expert, and have never fiddled with one, but I thought that if the regulator pressure is increased, the Hammer Tension often also has to be increased, to overcome the higher pressure on the valve. Sounds about right to (non expert) me, to max out at 27fpe at a reg pressure...

Looking for feedback - FX Royale 400 shot string

Excellent data and nice curve. Apart from the curviness, the shots are very consistent in velocity (little variation shot-to -shot). Filling between 2800 and 2200 would tame the extremes of the curve. Tominco has just done a good vid on disassembly and maintainance. There was a thread on reg...

    FWB 124 Question

Not quite first hand experience, but I was researching around for what I would need to tear my own 124 down. Bad news was you really really do need a SC. Good news was that apparently it is quite cheap and easy to make your own. Being a lazy sob, I never have got round to it. My 124 is on its...

    FX Impact re designed suppressor

That's interesting. Perhaps you could now just use an ordinary or custom LDC directly on your Impact. Could anyone confirm what thread is used on the end of Smooth Twist barrels, such as the Wildcat and Impact/ Are they 1/2" UNF?

Stunning results.... but not where you'd expect.

If you're in the UK, and even If the Typhoon is new, or you've recently bought it from a UK store, then once you've put oil on the pellets or got oil in the pison chamber to cause dieselling, then that is YOUR responsibility. You really should know about that stuff. It is YOUR responsibility to...

    FWB 124

Hi. I have one which belonged to my dad. It was made about 1981-2, has metal trigger and shoots well, at about 10 foot pounds. I stopped using it, as after 30 years without a new seal, I was told the old one would disintegrate. Plus, it started making a few grinding noises, so it sits in my...

Bars off on FX pressure gauges

The gauge on my bottle pretty much agrees with the digital gauge on my Airwolf. However, when I fill my Fx Wildcat .25 the gun seems to be over-reading when I start filling (reads 150 when the bottle reads 138 bar), but evens up by the time the gun is full (both at 220 bar). Though there is no...
