    Mike Smith, in memory of....

Well you guys beat me to it by informing the masses of Mike's passing. Last Tuesday I visited him in the hospital after our Tuesday match. He was weak, but could still talk and he wanted to know everything that went on. Sat with him for about an hour. Donna got back in touch with me two days...

Arizona State spring piston championship match report from Phoenix, AZ - March 16, 2024

Hahahahahaha........! Oh, yes! Welcome to BASF and the squirrely winds that seem to never let up. And to think, we shoot in those conditions every Tuesday morning, year round, with our TRAC matches. Last week, we had 17 shooters, for a weekday match! You should see what it is like when the...

Arizona State spring piston championship match report from Phoenix, AZ - March 16, 2024

I agree with you totally on elevation changes. That is why I don't shoot piston at Mormon Lake (7200 ft). I had to have my D54 rebuilt twice because of that. It is also the reason behind the suggestion to have the piston shoot at BASF (1200 ft) elevation. Much easier on the guns from that...

Arizona State spring piston championship match report from Phoenix, AZ - March 16, 2024

Famous last words! you can always pick up a used gun.....which is what I did with most of my guns. And there is usually nothing wrong with a used gun.....unless someone abused it. Both of my TX200's are shooters. So is my R9. I only have one puffer gun that I bought new, but all of them...

Results Southwest Airgunners Silhouette and FT Match Report 03/09/24, Duncan, AZ

Rex, you set a rather tricky course. Coles guesstimation of the difficulty factor was close, but using the AAFTA software, your course was 37.05 Troyer (difficulty factor) A 30T is considered a hard course. You had 3 targets in the moderate range with the easiest at 24T You had 8 targets in the...

Cole, if it makes you feel any better, my TX is only doing 10.5 fpe. Yes the wind is everything. It sure would be good to shoot with you again. I am still working on strengthening my knees so I might be able to shoot once in a while at Mormon Lake. I really like that place.....when it is not...

Arizona State Spring Piston championship - sponsored by Airgunners of Arizona

We have a few in open and WFTF, with most wanting to shoot Hunter class. Could never figure out why more folks prefer to shoot hunter rather than open class. So long as my knees hold out, and I continue to lose weight, I will keep shooting open class. Losing weight will take the pressure off...

BRK Ghost (Harley) takes 1st in Hunter PCP at Sonoran Desert Grand Prix

This little lady is going to continue to kick everyones backside in the foreseeable future and beyond. She is doing it to all of us at the monthly matches and every Tuesday TRAC match that she attends. It is getting to the point that Tony shows up at the matches by himself, by quietly sneaking...
