    Other Webley Tempest

Just got a Beeman Webley Tempest 177 cal (aluminum frame but made in England). Shooting at 300fps with 4.52 H&N Trophy (8.64) and 346 fps with H&N Match Light (7.5). Thing is the 4.50 mm pellets are very loose in the breach and often fall out when cocking the return stroke. Even the 4.52...

    Detecting Scammers in the Classifieds

I respectively disagree due to the risk ($350) I am taking and the Seller should know that (just like anybody asking someone to take great risk dealing with them). Involving the seller in all digging efforts I think reduces its effectiveness. All I get from the ad is a first name and email...

    Detecting Scammers in the Classifieds

Just bought a gun on the Airgun Classifieds. Seller seemed legit and answered a difficult to know question correctly on the gun. However due to the amount of money involved, I paid an intro month subscription to PeopleLooker which was less than $10 but $24/month after that. I entered the...

    HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.....

My mom is 94 in memory care. When you think of the agony and patience to raise 7 boy and a girl, Mothers are something special. Love her despite having to answer the same questions repeatedly during a visit. But like a very old man using a walker told me, your time is coming.

    N/A pellet ballistic coefficients.

Was wondering if there is database for say 177 and 22 calibers of ballistic coefficients. If so, please point me in the right direction. If not, would this be a worthwhile undertaking for this forum. At least to select these 2 calibers to start out. I am talking about pellets like Crossman...

N/A 20fpe springer, or just under, from the factory for FT

I have decided to compete with my FWB 124D and maybe one time with my RWS 350 rather than buying a RWS 57, HW 97, HW 98 or TX 2000. At least I can blame my poor score on the gun. Be fun to compare how I improve (big if) thru the years.

    Diana Diana 34 .177 --- What Have I got?

They had what looked like a good one go for $157 on Gunbroker. I bid on it but had to back up as insufficient funds due to other purchases. I thought $157 was a reasonable bargain if it shot up to specs. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1048705008

    HW/Weihrauch HW 30

I think you get the ugly bottom cut stock with the HW30S and not the normal stock go get with the Beeman R7 and HW30 Deluxe. Buying a target grade Williams Peep Sight with adjustable knobs. It will look just like the one I had over 40 year ago that got stolen.

    HW/Weihrauch HW 30

Called Mike Mellick at Flying Dragons. He can get the HW 30 or Beeman R7 in a few days. When he gets them, he takes them apart, and tunes them all for $400 which I believe is the current going price if bought in USA. For a guy like me who does not have the mechanical skills to screw in a light...

    HW/Weihrauch HW 30

I saw this article on the Vortex spring upgrade for the HW 30. The 2021 installed price is $150 so the 2024 price is higher. Cannot justify that. I like the HW 30 deluxe but maybe the best value and best quality for the price is to see if I can get one thru Flying Dragons as he does go thru the...

Crosman Which Air Pistol to Buy

Mute point. I picked up a HW 70 for $173 including shipping. Thought the 2300T would be better suited for my needs but could not pass up on this good price. Hopefully it is as good as shape as the seller stated. The 2300T will have to wait.

Crosman Which Air Pistol to Buy

Besides buying a HW30, I have sufficient funds for an air pistol. Primary for target shooting but may do some small pesting at close range. 20 yards is my maximum range I can target shoot. Do not want any quality issues now or in the future. Accuracy is second. Durability is third. Do not want...

    HW/Weihrauch HW 30

Well, I will call Flying Dragons and AOA Monday and make a decision. I think I remember in the early 80s or late 70s that the Beeman super tuned R7 got you 690 fps. I bought one back then supertuned with Williams peep sight, it broke by my brother dry firing it and then was stolen including...

    HW/Weihrauch HW 30

I noticed that Mike Melick with Flying Dragons sells an R7 for same price ($400) and lifetime warranty as Pyramid Air. However, he tunes his. Only thing the R7 is the standard HW 30 and not the HW 30 Deluxe with the gorgeous stock that AOA sells for $374. However the extra quality control and...
