Hawke has good rep for customer service, I hear. You could call them and get a recommend on cleaning paint off their particular coatings. They would know the chemistry involved if it is a consideration.

SWFA SS fixed power scopes focus to 10 m; their variable 3-15 FFP focuses to 6 m. All SWFA's are good for heavy recoil as well.
