    Thermal Optics for Hunting

Thank you for the updated info on the Burris. Good to know it's been a solid unit. Pulsar Thermions have the most intuitive controls of any of the thermals I've handled. Incredibly easy to navigate in the dark even if the unit hasn't been used in some time. I also appreciate that they are...

    Dnt thermals

Incredibly interesting video!!! Have not seen anything posted anywhere with a rat working wire mesh like that. Well done. That earned a sub. I would be interested in seeing a video on your DNT after the kill with a switch to NV for the main screen and thermal for PIP. As a consumer my...

night pesting - best budget thermal, as of july'25

I don't know. Old model Pulsars had an hour meter running. None of mine have died, nor have I had any issues with them. They are electronics and I expect that someday they will need to be replaced. I plan on having a couple (or eight :) ) until I'm in the ground.

night pesting - best budget thermal, as of july'25

Red Monochrome or Sepia color palettes on Pulsar thermals are very easy on the eyes. While they are not the ultra low budget thermals this thread is about, they do have a feature that allows remote viewing on an iPad, phone or computer screen. It would be easy to set up something to monitor a...

Benjamin DIY BENJAMIN AIR BOW ARROWS.

I need to revisit this. I had some issues with shooting the inserts out of the arrow shafts. Either need a stronger adhesive or possibly swage the shaft into the insert. Another thought is an additional weight/insert glued in behind the insert might increase the resistance enough to keep the...

What are the best night vision scope choices?

I paid $1300 for a Pulsar C50 with 1928x1088 resolution. It is not as good as any of my PARD NV scopes for night shooting. The C50 has become my primary daytime starling/crow scope because of it's shortcomings under ir illumination. The PARD Nightstalker 4k is a great NV scope at half the...

All Things PARD Night Vision & Thermal Optics - Master Thread

You need scope rings with elevation adjustments...or simply put a couple layers of electrician tape in the bottom of the rear scope ring.

Anyone who does active shooting with a DNT TNC225R or TNC335R?

Would you mind timing that powerup time? 15-20 seconds is surprising.

do i take the plunge to thermal scope?

What kind of critters are you shooting at night? What are your expected distances? How target rich are your spots? Can't beat thermal for detection. Scanning with NV is akin to scanning with a white light/torch. Eye shine is what'll catch your attention and it's possible to scan right past...

All Things PARD Night Vision & Thermal Optics - Master Thread

I use my Night Stalker multiple times a week. The listed Arken/DNT specs indicate they have about half of the resolution available through the PARD Night Stalker.

May be a little slow. I don't understand the meaning here. Care to clarify???
