Found the problem, there is a hollow threaded insert that fits over the exhaust valve stem with an o ring that keeps the air from back flowing past the valve. That had come loose and prevented the hammer from reaching the valve stem, wasn't a fill problem after all, thank you for the reply.

Does anyone out there in cyber land know how to disassemble, the Falcon FN19. Mine will not hold air, I know I need a collet to remove the brass fittings. my question is does the fill assembly with the check valve have reverse threads? fritzalee
