I own the ares btr since few weeks and this scope is excellent. Even better than my midas tac optically speaking ( which is already very good). Illumiation is also very nice and bright with off position between each lvl. You will not be disappointed.

American air arms slayer woul be my choice. 

Evanix air max seems affordable and robust. I own a monsoon and it is a very nice rifle also.

My point is about MY ares btr having better glass than MY midas tac. I made a side by side compraraison looking at a tree at 150m and the resolution on my ares btr is better. Anyway the tac remains a best in class scope.

I own the midas tac and it is a very good optic until 20x power. After that it starts to loose clarity and sharpness. Turrets are excellent. I ordered the ares btr yesterday and I hope that a scope 30% more expensive will give me more :)

The k1 is semi auto not full. There was some evanix in full auto. That is all what i am aware of.
