    Current hours on your GX-CS4

I don’t have a CS4 but I’d like to see how things go when people reach 50-100 hours. I had a CS3 couple of years ago and it died hard right at 50 hours. I hope the 4s are able to outlive it.

LPVO for a PCP - good focus under 30yds? 10yds?

The March Shorty 1-10x dual reticle mentioned is an excellent scope. Focus is more to about 10 feet than 10 yards. But you gotta pay to play with that one. I recently picked up the Discovery Optics HD 2-12x24SFIR based on another thread from a few months ago. Good close focus and only $180...

Other Quiet, pcp, semi auto bday gift for my son?

In all seriousness - drop the requirement for semi auto and the quantity of choices you have will increase dramatically. Semi auto in the $500-800 range will only bring your son frustration.

    Other Moderator for Huben GK-1

I'm shooting my .25 GK1 in the 40 fpe range. Depending on how much sound reduction you are looking for there are some nice options out there. For low profile the Huggett Belitta does a decent job or lowering the noise output. But an Impulse Air 1350 tested at about 6 dB less than the Belitta...

Anyone else spent way too much money on this hobby?

I’ve always found it is healthy to have a hobby that is your own. One that wife doesn’t care about and the kids don’t want to get involved. It’s the thing that keeps you sane, especially if you also work in corporate America, because it’s all about you. At one point my wife tried to accuse me of...

    Airgun Anonymous

I keep hearing about this Airgunners Anonymous thing. But try as I may, I cannot find a website nor any listing of time/location for meetings. Makes me wonder if it really exists or not.......

American Air Arms Anyone hunt with slugs in an Evoll .22 with 15” barrel?

For cleaning I use patches with a pull through. Usually Ballistol or CLR on the patch. When I clean it usually takes about 10-12 patches and the first 3-5 are really dirty with lead flakes. Most of my other airguns only take 5-6 patches to clean. @Dairyboy - I think it may be the slugs which...

American Air Arms Anyone hunt with slugs in an Evoll .22 with 15” barrel?

Just to share some thoughts from my EVOL 15" .22 experiences. - This barrel really likes to be cleaned - frequently (every 200-300 rounds work for me). I've learned recently to clean before a range session to get best accuracy. - It takes one full mag to settle in when I switch ammo. Even going...

Daystate Daystate Alpha Wolf 22cal velocity issue

A few thoughts here. I notice that your reg is set at 133, but if you look at the bottom left corner of the screen the ecu wants you to have a min 140bar setting. If you kick the reg up to 140 or even 150 see if that helps. The other thing I’d try, if you have the usb programmer dongle, is...

    Huben Huben k1/gk1 cleaning pellets

Yeah - I've been using this method on my K1 and GK1 for a bit now. I usually wet one cleaning pellet in Ballistol or CLR and load it. Then I load a dry cleaning pellet behind it. I do 2 or 3 of these followed by a final shoot with just a dry cleaning pellet. Definitely enough to restore accuracy...

    GX CS2 good for beginners?

Dillon - the GX line are good basic compressors. Still Chinese made and will fail but seems to have better life expectancy than the generic ones. Even with the inline filter I would still recommend some water removal on the high pressure side. It's a slower fill compressor so you can't go with...

Brocock/BRK Anything special I need to know re Moderator on Pathfinder .22?

You are chosing the wrong pellet for the platform. At 25-28fpe the 18gr is the most appropriate pellet. If you try to push the 25gr fast it's going to become a pretty loud airgun with that short a barrel. @L.Leon has been shooting detuned Crosman 14.3s with great success as well.

    American Air Arms

Yeah - the negativity of some people on this forum to trash every thread with their "Hateful"ness is tragic. Tom is as close to Made in the USA as you'll ever get. Those who know, know. Those who don't just sling poo whenever they can. As far as what the OP said - I think there is a clear...
