The dealer was fine and handled the situation appropriately. AEA rep " Tom" was the one that ghosted me. I have a couple threads about it if you're curious... one in the barrels section "so i slugged a barrel" and one in the big bore section "challenger elite 51 project".

When you rent their guns yes, have to buy their ammo. Otherwise I've never heard of that happening.

I'm pretty sure that's the trick. Folks just don't even have a clue what an "airgun" can be. Probably thinking airsoft or nerf gun.

I'm right there with ya. One of the big pros for me getting into airguns was the ability to shoot on my property. Still, I have some limitations. The range is a nice place to shoot by myself and with friends... it's also 7 minutes away, 8 bucks a day, and never crowded. Pretty sweet deal overall.

I've considered the same thing for my tuxing compressor but haven't tried it yet. If you put a low pressure regulator on shop air and brought it down to <5 PSI that would be the safest way to go. Not sure if your compressor or mine could handle much more on the first stage.

Just wondering if you have put some rounds through it yet. And side question. Does the lapping process often give noticeable improvement?

I love it when a plan comes together! Great day at the range. All of the ammo I tried was stabilizing with the new barrel. Zero keyholing. These targets are at 100yds. The first pic was me trying a bunch of different ammo. I labeled the ones that I remember. Reg set at 200bar. 1. AEA lathe...

Any suggestions on a different oil? Currently filled with royal purple.
